As any construction worker knows, good tools are expensive, and DeWalt has teamed up with Ford Trucks for Tool Link, an RFID system that will let drivers know if they’re leaving their job site without a full toolbox.
The DeWalt and Ford Trucks Tool Link consists of two RFID readers in the truck bed and 50 ID tags. By pressing a button on the Tool Link’s in-dash screen, the system essentially takes inventory of what’s in the truck bed. Any missing tools pop up so that drivers can locate them before leaving for the day.
