Decayed Wall Jewelry

These High-End Pieces are Made From Detroit Graffiti and Help the Community

In an effort to help disadvantaged women, Rebel Nell is turning real Detroit graffiti into luxury jewelry pieces. The social enterprise takes defaced wall pieces and turn them into high-end jewelry. In this way, they are transforming urban eye sores into something beautiful.

A city in decay, Detroit's economy has been struggling and public defacement runs rampant. As some the street art crumbles off walls and buildings, Rebel Nell is using a technique to "reveal all the beautiful layers that make up the graffiti." Every piece is made by a disadvantaged local woman employed by Rebel Nell to give them a new skill set and eventually help them start their own businesses. The pendants, rings and earrings featuring real Detroit grafitti is from the community for the community.
