Zero-Gravity Music Festivals

Desperados Bass Drop Took Place 30,000 Feet Over Las Vegas

The Desperados Bass Drop experiment is a micro-music festival that brought EDM's celebrated bass drop to new heights -- literally. The experiment was the first-ever music festival to be held in zero-gravity, having took place in a plane 30,000 feet above Las Vegas.

To create the festival, Desperados first turned the cabin of an airplane into a bright, shimmering, and pulsating club environment (i.e. the perfect locale for an EDM party.) They then took a lucky crowd of partiers into the sky, flying in giant parabolas; on the descent of those arcs, the entire cabin became a zero gravity dance party.

The music for Desperados Bass Drop festival came from DJ Mike Cervello, an artist on the uber-experimental 'The Barong Family' record label.
