The Conceptual 'Delivery Droid' Has Been Tested by Australia Post

The ever-increasing number of parcel deliveries paired with the need for contact-free transactions has bolstered the need for solutions like the conceptual 'Delivery Droid' in recent months. The robot is the design work of Cristina Borràs for Marathon Targets and has been tested by Australia Post on more than 100 packaged deliveries that took place after dark. The unit is capable of being set out from a dispatch center with the package(s) held inside a locker that can only be opened with a code sent to the receiver's smartphone and could accommodate after-hours deliveries for increased efficiency.

The conceptual 'Delivery Droid' has a friendly design that is outfitted with some the latest smart technology to help it avoid obstacles and pedestrians, while also easily navigating its way on sidewalks and at roadway crossings.
