Darwin Yamamoto Illustrates Skyrim Characters as Facebook Avatars

Like many this year, Darwin Yamamoto has succumb to Skyrim fever and has sunk countless hours into the role-playing game that’s taken the world by storm. As a tribute to the Bethesda-produced game, Yamamoto has lovingly illustrated these portraits of avatars found within the game.

What’s especially neat about these Darwin Yamamoto creations is that they resemble profile pictures commonly used on social networking websites. Every playable race within the game is represented in this series and, funnily enough, Yamamoto admits that Skyrim was so distracting that he took longer than necessary in the completion of these pictures.

Darwin Yamamoto is a UX and visual designer whose most recent gig was with Microsoft Bing working as a Design Architect. His incredible talent has taken him around the world to places like Tokyo, London, New York and Honolulu.
