Scotland-based Darnley’s Gin has announced a new packaging that will make it easier for the spirit to be shipped, while also encouraging consumers to refill their existing glass bottles rather than buy all-new ones. The pouch-style packaging is being launched across the brand's three varieties including Original, Spiced and Navy Strength, and is created using grade 7 recycled plastic material. The refill pouch is meant to be used to refill a bottle of the brand's gin and can also be returned to the brand for recycling.
Founder William Wemyss commented on the new Darnley’s Gin refill pouches saying, "Our sustainability plans for the brand are one of constant improvement and the launch of our gin pouches is part of this journey. We hope Darnley’s Gin fans will not only enjoy these gins but also return the pouches so the full environmental benefits of this initiative can be realised."
