Argentinian designer Daniel Weil has created a series of deconstructed clocks for this latest exhibition, titled 'Daniel Weil and the Art of Design,' and showing at London's Design Museum.
Along with the clocks, the exhibition covers Weil's illustrious career, from his humble beginnings at the Royal College of Art to his design consultancy at Pentagram. However, Weil wants to make it clear that the show is more than just a trip down memory lane. Through it, he aims to elucidate the process behind his creations.
Weil's interest in clocks dates back to the early days of his career. He explains his fascination by saying,"...I thought early on that the element of time is quite an important transformer of art and of science in the twentieth century but seemed to have bypassed our discipline. I use time as a subject to really represent the time we live in."
