Rocket Ship Segways

The Damien Fressard Segway Samca is a Futuristic Pod for Arabia

You can go up, up and away with the Damien Fressard Segway Samca, or at least, just looking at it makes me feel like you could. Although Fressard was inspired by Arabian culture, it looks more like a rocket ship than anything else. It does, however, somewhat resemble a smoke-filled hookah.

As a monopod electric vehicle for Abu Dhabi’s new urban landscape, Masdar City, Naresh Chauhan reports that the Damien Fressard Segway Samca "generates power from innovative gyroscopic motors [and has] small inner wheels for stability."

Interestingly, with the Damien Fressard Segway Samca is not in use, it will double as an information resource. This is made possible through the amount of technology (i.e. maps) that will be stored in this futuristic vehicle.
