'Cute & Creepy' Brings Bizarre Art Into the Public Spotlight

At the 'Cute & Creepy' exhibit, you can bet you will be intrigued, perplexed and maybe even a little freaked out. The new exhibit at the Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts showcases a collection of 25 extremely bizarre and slightly unsettling works of art.

According to the exhibit's curator, Carrie Ann Baade, 'Cute & Creepy' was created to help the grotesque go mainstream. I don't know if this exhibit will be a mainstream hit as some of the art featured in it is certainly grotesque, but perhaps that will add to the interest of the exhibit. Many of the works featured are incredibly engrossing once you get over their shock value. The exhibit is open from October 14th to November 20th, but if you can't make it to Florida you can check out a small sample of 'Cute & Creepy' here.
