Underground Metropolitan Fashion

Growing Pains Bases Its Fall/Winter Line on Vibes from Tokyo

Japanese designer Mademoiselle Yulia launches the Growing Pains Fall/Winter 2018 line-up at Amazon Tokyo Fashion Week, ultimately presenting her contemporary take on underground culture fashion. Drawing influence from Tokyo, its art, music and film movements, the designer is able to create a wide array of heavily layered boxy pieces that encompass a rather futuristic metropolitan aesthetic. Mademoiselle Yulia utilizes an extensive range of tonal coloring and the silhouettes in the Fall/Winter 2018 show are decisively unisex.

Boasting the underground culture fashion of Tokyo, Mademoiselle Yulia is able to identify a strong alienating aspect in the style and the way it manifests itself into the physical world. Of course, the Growing Pains' Fall/Winter range is "an expression of Yulia's personal style, informed by the metropolitan city."
