This Swarovski Sculpture Replicates the Motion of Waves Using Stones

Jewelry brand Swarovski recently partnered with three artists to create a series of installations that reflect living for the future. One includes a simulated wave of sorts that is comprised of colored gemstones that reflect light as a way to capture motion. The installation aims to entice viewers to think about how light plays an important factor in the cycle of life.

The installation is designed by artist Anjali Srinivasan that utilizes various colored crystals to recreate water. The stones are adhered onto a waved block and are designed to be touch-sensitive. The stone's absorb light according to the gestures of the viewer recreating the motion of waves and water using solid materials. The installation encourages consumers to think about the effects of light in their daily lives.Photo Credits: designboom, anjalisrinivasan
