Sam Adams Crowd-Sourced Craft Beer Lets Followers Vote on Makeup of Its Beer

Boston brewery Sam Adams, is teaming up with venture capitalist Guy Kawasaki to create an entirely crowd-sourced craft beer. The concept of this idea is that there is knowledge in numbers, to illustrate this there is the fact that 100 people guessing the number of jelly beans in a jar will come to within 3% of the correct number by simply creating an average.

Utilizing Guy Kawasaki's vast social prowess of a near half million followers Sam Adams will spread the word and get feedback on the optimized mix for their crowd-sourced craft beer. Friends on Facebook will be allowed to choose the color, and clarity, even the amount of hops, yeast, and malt.

The goal is here to not only create a fully customized beer, that should in fact--by simple definition of crowd-sourced, be the most crowd-pleasing beer out there. Additionally Sam Adams is sure to gain a larger following of fans and have several new followers sign up and possibly create strong emotional ties with a brand that values their followers opinions.
