Creator-Made AR Lenses

Snapchat is Now Allowing All Users the Chance to Have a Featured AR Lens

Snapchat is showing artists love with the implementation of creator-made AR lenses in the app's rotating carousel. This new experience will display artists' work in the app's main screen, potentially giving artists exposure to Snapchat's 187 million daily active users. The focus of this new update is being done to promote its community and is set to showcase the amazing designs completed by artistic users.

Artists looking to have their work showcased as one of Snapchat's creator-made AR lenses will need to use Snapchat's Lens Studio. This tool, made by Snapchat, has been around since December of 2017, but this new update will give artists the option to have their creations selected for the Snapchat lens rotation. There will be no money exchanging hands for these lenses for now and the lenses cannot be branded.
