Studio Swine Make Use of Packaging Materials

Studio Swine debuted a sizable crate installation for the Forest Tales exhibition at Milan Design Week. While the furniture designs of 22 creatives were on display during the show, Studio Swine "took advantage of the packaging that had been used to transport the pieces from elsewhere in Europe to Milan." The packaging was covered in water-based paint, with designs from Milan's famous La Scala theatre. Studio Swine assembled everything in Milan, forming a sizable "mountain" of crates. It was both aesthetically interesting and functional as the crate mountain served to display some furniture.

After the exhibition, the crate installation will be repurposed. Founder Alexander Groves shared that following the show, the crates will go back to serving their traditional purpose of storage and transportation.
