This Claw Vending Machine Delivers a Message About the Homeless

To increase awareness about Chile's homeless population, the Fundación Gente de la Call (Foundation for Street People) set up a crane game. The somber game featured a diorama of homeless figurines, which people could attempt to rescue if they put a coin into the machine.

From the looks of it, the crane game was impossible, but this was a strong part of what makes the machine's message so powerful. After a while of playing, the machine would release a card that read: "A coin doesn't get anyone off the streets." Although the machine may leave people feeling frustrated and helpless, it's likely a message they won't forget the next time they encounter someone in need of aid on the streets.
