The Converse 1970 'Souvenir Pack' is the latest drop by the iconic streerwear brand. Inspired by historic articles of clothing, these sneakers are stylish and sentimental.
During post-World War II, Japan had undergone an Occupation period which birthed the sukajan jacket. These particular pieces of outerwear were essentially MA-1 bomber jackets adorned with bold Japanese motifs in colorful threads. Just like the sukajan jacket, the Converse 1970 silhouette features the same ornamental decal on its black goat leather uppers with a crouching tiger on one side while a skull and snake motif takeover the opposing side.
Though these sneakers are done on the Converse 1970 model, the 'Souvenir Pack' features a thicker 1970 midsole which has been rounded out underneath.
