The kits contain pre-portioned ingredients for at-home chefs, with only a few fresh ingredients needed to be added to complete meals like Indian Chickpea Tikka Masala, Vietnamese Pho, Ethiopian Spiced Lentils and Teff Bread or Sichuan Mapo Tofu & Jasmine Rice.
Since the launch of these convenient meal kits, Walmart has already seen some of the kits sell out. Although the kits are sold on Walmart's online site, the orders are fulfilled by the respective meal kit companies. Because Walmart is already working with two different meal kit companies, there is the potential for collaborations with other brands in the future.
