This Contemporary Dwelling Design Hinges on Simplicity

Widawscy Studio Architektury designed the 'M68 Apartment,' a contemporary dwelling located in Sosnowiec, Poland.

The clients wished for a simple, high-quality design with an open-concept living space. To differentiate between that space and the much narrower entrance, the architects installed a bookcase "wall" to separate the two. Meanwhile, the monochromatic kitchen is simple yet visually striking. Because of the contrasting colors and forms, no matter where the eye rests, the space is engaging and dynamic. It doesn't settle into a static pattern. To enlarge the space, the architects installed glass and lacquered surfaces and finished off with three-dimensional wallpaper.

The architects installed roomy cabinets and functional storage throughout the apartment in order to optimize for space.
