This chic and minimalist concrete residence is located in a small farming village in Turkey. Dubbed the 'Goat House,' the building is brought to life by Istanbul-based firm Yalin Architectural Design.
What is most striking about the home is its raw juxtaposition with the surrounding "lush Aegean landscape." Truly offering an embellishment to the environment, Yalin Architectural Design was mindful when using the materials for this project. Aside from the obvious distinction between the natural and the built, the structure bears some contrasting elements within it. For example, the silhouette of the concrete residence is broken up by the wooden shutters. For this feature, Yalin Architectural Design utilized the principles of sustainability and transformed wooden waste from the construction into the very much functional and aesthetically enticing wooden shutters.
