Concrete Candle Holders

Mr. Fahrenheit by Merel Bekking Takes on the Shape of Plumbing Pipes

There are concrete candle holders and then there is Mr. Fahrenheit. Taking the industrial material to the next level, it has been cemented into the shape of plumbing pipes. Yet they still take on the form of traditional candelabras in the way their arch up and outwards.

Bringing a playful touch of masculinity to living spaces, the concrete candle holders were created by Dutch designer Merel Bekking. Inspired during her time studying product design at the Art Academy in Utrecht, the concrete candle holders are finished with brass details that not only hold them together, but also acknowledge its pipe influence. The threading of the brass toppers also help keep the candles themselves in place.
