Geometrically-Lined Servers

Scholten & Baijings' Colour Platters are Vibrantly Eye-Popping

The Colour Platters are a set of serving trays for the contemporary home. Although the shape is beautifully simple, the pastel colors and geometric lines add some eye-popping details that transform the trays from minimalist to mesmerizing. The patterns were created by a high-tech printing method. The clean lines and fresh appeal help to keep the focus on what's ultimately important--the food.

Created by Scholten & Baijings, an industrial design studio based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, the Colour Platters are made out of chestnut wood. It is appropriate, then, that they were created for Karimoku New Standard, Japan's leading manufacturer of wooden furniture. Available in sets of three, the Colour Platters come in different sizes. They also come in two colorways and grid patterns: Sun and sand.
