Aveda Launches Virtual Color Sampling Capabilities on Its Website

Aveda enabled customers to test out different hair colors using virtual color sampling, which is powered by AI and AR technologies. Approximately 64 different hair colors can be selected on the company's 'Find Your Shade' website. Virtual color sampling can be a good feature for consumers to test different colors before they make an appointment to change their hair.

The system uses technology developed by Perfect Corp. which is able to superimpose a color on a person's natural hair. Additionally, the technology allows Aveda to showcase its products to prospective consumers.

AR try-on features are a good way for companies to engage consumers with their products in an interactive way. AR technology also benefits consumers as they are able to see what their purchases may look like before they buy.
