The artist that composed these collage inlays (both in paper or digital form) is Dessi Terzieva, a 22 years old girl from Detroit. Talking about her creations, she seraphically states in her website "I would say I'm self taught but passion and necessity cannot be learned"
Surely born from passion and created with great accuracy, whether they come out of an inborn talent or a meticulous training, these collages are great pieces that often feature a cut and compose technique that reminds of wooden inlays. Dismantling and reassembling images, Dessi Terzieva ends up with subjects that range from abstract to set scenes, always with an hint of irony and surreal. Beautiful and iconic visual mashups that would look great framed onto a wall with the appeal of their unusual photographic ensemble.
