'Coffins' is a collaborative art project by Aitch and Saddo, exhibited at the La Petite Mort Gallery in Ottawa, Canada.
Aitch is an artist and illustrator who has exhibited her work in Romania, Vienna, Amsterdam and Berlin, among other places. On her website, she writes, "I started drawing weird chubby fantastic creatures during my studies at the University of Art and Design in Timisoara, Romania, as a sort of subversive reaction to the academical ways of treating human anatomy." She goes on to note that her work can range from elegant to disturbing, as she tends to incorporate religious symbols and unusual characters. Aitch met and fell in love with fellow artist Saddo several years back, and the two worked together on the exhibit 'The Garden of Good and Evil.'
Like 'The Garden of Good and Evil,' Coffins is a surreal journey filled with symbolism, mythicism, fantastical creatures and, of course, darkness and light.
