Imperial College London Presents its New CoDiet Camera

Imperial College London introduces its new CoDiet project, which is essentially an AI camera that is attached to the ear to work as a feature that monitors users' daily food consumption. This aims to help users reach their diet goals and addresses the limitations that exist in diet research.

The AI camera measures about the same size as any other hearing aid and rests on top of the ear to properly scan food. The data that is captured is then processed by an AI system that applies technology to evaluate the digestion of microbes and metabolites in urine. Overall, it is able to help create a more accurately personalized portion size for each individual participant.
