Social Media-Blocking Ads

This Coca-Cola Ad Uses Dog Cones to Get People Away from Their Phone

This Coca-Cola ad acknowledges the dependence that many people have on their social media accounts and electronics. It seems that there really is no way to drag people away from it—that is, until they are introduced to this cone.

The simple dog cone that is used against dogs when they have fleas or get surgery seems to have human applications as well. In the Coca-Cola ad video, we see people who are stuck to their phones and devices get put in the dog cone. Realistically, if they wanted to they could just lift the phone above the cone to use it, but the moral of the story remains true.

The item is called the social media guard and though it’s only a parody, it seems like a good choice for those with intense social media addiction.
