French designer Pierre Charpin created a sculpture collection of clown faces, which are presented on marble vases. The series is titled 'Marbles and Clowns' and it will be on display at the London outpost of Galerie Kreo until the end of October.
The expressive collection of marble-made clowns presents various emotions using the over-dramatized characteristics seen on clown faces. The clowns range in color and emotion, however the one cohesive characteristic between all of the sculptures is their bright red noses. Each clown is wearing a classic red nose that is strapped onto the front each marble face.
Charpin believes that marble "is shapeless in its natural state in the landscape, and sculpting it for art or design pieces is essentially about removing from it."
