Handsomely Handled Clocks

The Clocco is a Wonderful Timber Timepiece with Simple Versatility

Most people don't ask for much from a clock; they're content enough to have a pivoting hour hand and a minute hand, and that's about all that's necessary for displaying the hour. The Clocco certainly keeps things simple in this respect, but it's been designed with an ounce of charm that makes it fun and flexible.

Ivana Mannavola used beech wood, cutting it into a circular panel of 35 centimeters by 35 centimeters to become the face of the chronograph. The pair of rotating indicators was, of course, added, but so was another slightly quirky feature. On either side of the Clocco, colorful wing nuts fix two ends of an arching handle in place. This can hang down loosely when the piece performs as a wall clock, or it can serve as a stand, should you wish to prop the ticker on a table.
