Adams created this project for the community group Geelong Sustainability and has so far implemented 16 Climate Safe Rooms in homes.
This means that it does not need to retrofit an entire home, which is a costly experience. Adams tells Dezeen, "The idea of climate safe rooms was to say, okay, the whole house is difficult and expensive to deal with, let's make sure that there's a part of the house that can be made to be habitable comfortably, both in winter and summer."
