Danielle Zalcman's London-New York Hybrid is Hauntingly Beautiful

By using double exposure techniques, photographer Danielle Zalcman has created a stunning composite image of two of the world's most famous cities: London and New York.

The photographs take iconic images from each city and lay them on top of each other, producing a a ghostly image of two cities both clashing with and complementing each other. Famous structures from New York and London are shown throughout the photos, like the iconic London Eye and the equally well-known Brooklyn Bridge.

Zalcman's lo-fi approach to these photographs creates a grungy feeling that enhances the urbanity of each piece. The darkness of the sky, bleak buildings and abandoned streets stress this realistic approach to city life.

With these photographs, Zalcman has found a unique approach to city photography -- why use one when two makes it that much more beautiful?
