Upside Down Architecture

This Stunning City of Westminster College Campus Turns Design on Its Head

You really have to hand it to Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects for designing this fantastic new campus for the City of Westminster College.

With its seemingly impossible design, which looks oddly redolent of an upside-down pyramid, the ultra-futuristic space is sure to put the City of Westminster College on the map in a dramatically stylish way. Given that the school is meant to provide students with unprecedented exposure to new and innovative ways of teaching and learning, it's no surprise that it opted for a building that similarly challenges preexisting notions of how a structure should look. The result is a seriously cool structure that definitely makes a really bold first impression.

Needless to say, it would definitely be a bit concerning to stand beneath its inverted stairlike exterior.
