This Circular Architecture Design was Inspired by Cirque du Soleil

University of Applied Arts students Lenka Petráková, Viki Szándor, Piotr K Prokopowicz and Roman Hajtmánek created this circular architecture design for their 2015 Graduate Show.

The design concept begins with perfectly round spheres and manipulates them into a functional building design. The end result is a cluster of pure white buildings that feature curvaceous lines, rounded edges and swooshing silhouettes. The design students wanted to create a unique venue that inspired the professional Cirque du Soleil company to train and perform in the buildings.

Along with the dazzling performers of Cirque du Soleil, the design team wanted a space that welcomed ordinary people to co-mingle with professionals in one area. The circular architecture brings a sense of play and solidifies the full inclusion of the different performer levels.
