The Christian Lacroix FW 2012 men’s collection is a mashup of old school tailoring and a new wave attitude.
Under the creative direction of Sacha Walckhoff, the collection featured narrow-tailored trousers, chunky work boots and slim fitting oxfords. The tailoring is reminiscent of '60s mod, bordering on the punk-ass skinhead look. Many of the pieces were detailed with the legendary Lacroix cross, in honor of collections past. Crosses were fashioned from a chaotic bunch of brooches, plaid accents and collar pins. Several articles were cut from contemporary fabrics, giving the line a modern edge. Memorable pieces include shiny pleather pants. Another is a suit jacket with a brooch adorned cross on the back, reminiscent of '80s glam rock.
