Fox's Proposed Choose Your Own Adventure Film Will Let Viewers Decide

At CinemaCon 2018, 21st Century Fox announced a new Choose Your Own Adventure film that will allow the audience to determine the outcome of the story. The experience will be controlled using the app CtrlMovie, which first debuted alongside the 2016 film Late Shift. The use of the app in this film allowed viewers to receive seven different endings. This film was originally released as an indie project and Fox's new proposition would be the first time a Choose Your Own Adventure film has been done on this large a scale.

The Choose Your Own Adventure film is still in development, and Chooseco, the original publisher of the Choose Your Own Adventure books, will be serving as a production partner. Fox has yet to announce which book will be adapted to film, but over 180 titles were published by Chooseco under the original run spanning 1979 to 1998.
