A 12-day Mediterranean hiking trip inspired the creation of Peacasa Snacks' chickpea chips, which are as simple as they are nourishing. Peacasa Snacks founders Aaron Johnstone and Victor Courarie-Delage discovered a wood-fired crepe made from chickpea flour in the South of France and set out to recreate the street market find as a crispy snack.
The snacks are made in Sea Salt and Lime and Pepper flavors, each of which is prepared from only a handful of simple ingredients—chickpea flour, high-oleic sunflower oil, extra-virgin olive oil, sea salt and black pepper. The grain-free, gluten-free snacks are packed with plant-based protein and fiber as a better-for-you alternative to regular chips.
To support the launch of its debut product, Peacasa Snacks is planning to raise funds via crowdfunding.
