These cherry blossom photos will hopefully make you feel as though spring is around the corner. This polar vortex seems to be never ending but spring is on its way and I can feel it. From late March to usually mid-April Japan is covered in beautiful lush pink petals from sakura, or cherry blossom trees.
Every year the Japanese gather wherever they can find the cherry blossom trees. They practice Hanami, it's centuries-old tradition that involves Japanese picnicking underneath sakura. The Japanese cherry blossoms are absolutely stunning. They are so delicate and breathtaking in these Instagram captured photos.
It looks like we may need to make a trip to Japan every spring in order to see these exquisite flowers.
