If you are still mourning the closure of the much-celebrated Spanish restaurant El Bulli, take heart, because Chef Scabin of Combal.Zero is here to fill the void. Combal.Zero is located just outside Turin, Italy and is known for serving up meticulously arranged, abstract gastronomic delicacies. From the bizarre presentation of the dish Charlie (A Tribute to Uncle Sam) served in a basket fashioned out of an empty can of Coca-Cola to a course that goes by the name of Cybereggs, things served at this joint are unlike anything you've ever experienced.

Chef Scabin creates edible pieces of art, urging his diners to experience their meal with every one of their senses. The virtual oyster, in particular, is enough to raise a few eyebrows. This dish entails, "a cube of watermelon topped with a slice of dried fish roes and a few fragments of toasted almonds." Diners are encouraged to eat this tidbit with their eyes closed. Supposedly the dish tastes identical to a fresh oyster.
