The Jack Munro and Charlotte Austen-designed airplane has been made of heaps of egg cartons. The designers produced the aircraft in association with Eggs for Soldiers, a fundraising initiative that donates portions sold from free range eggs to Help for Heroes.
Help for Heroes is a charitable organization that supports wounded soldiers. Munro and Austen teamed up in anticipation of its March Fourth 2013 event, a campaign that draws further attention to the group's causes. Duxford's Imperial War Museum is currently showcasing the piece.
This cardboard-based construction was made in the image of a British jetliner that was used during World War II. Paired with the egg containers is an assortment of durable material, inclusive of steel frames and timber.
