Chargebee Debuts E-Invoicing Service for Subscription Businesses

Chargebee, a San Francisco-based financial management platform, has launched a new e-invoicing service for enterprises that operate via a subscription-based business model. The feature will include new tax and revenue recognition tools. Most notably, however, it will introduce a marketplace-like feature to help businesses automate their billing workflows.

The newly introduced service looks to capitalize on the fact that many nations have mandated e-invoicing for business-to-government (B2G) transactions, including Germany, Finland, Brazil, France. Because of this, Chargebee's e-invoicing service should appeal to businesses seeking global expansion in these countries.

"Italy has some of the strictest eInvoicing mandates in the world, and without Chargebee’s eInvoicing service, we would have had to spend countless hours sending them out manually," Gabriele Proni, co-founder and chief technology officer of Voxloud, which was provided early access to the service.
