Iconic Comic-Inspired Lighting

The Chaplin Lamp is Modeled After Charlie's Hat and Walking Stick

Inspired by one of the most iconic comic actors of the silent film era, the Chaplin Lamp is modeled after Charlie Chaplin's signature hat and walking stick. Although the top hat and stick has been given a modern and minimal facelift, the famous imagery is more than discernible. In fact, the Chaplin Lamp might inspire a few movie buffs to dust off those film reel canisters and pop in a Chaplin clip or two.

The Chaplin Lamp was created by German designer Martin Hirth. The lampshade is playfully adjustable to allow more or less light depending on what is desired. It can also be taken off completely to be set down on the floor or on a tabletop. The Chaplin Lamp is made with steel, ash wood and textile coated cable.
