Les Parfumables Launches CeraScent Ceramic Diffusers

Les Parfumables, a Limoges-based ceramic specialist, launched CeraScent ceramic diffusers for perfumes that releases scent for up to six months. The firm soaked technical ceramic pieces with fragrance concentrates to create olfactory testers, branded gifts and passive home diffusers that retain and emit fragrance without altering its notes.

The process combines a tailored ceramic paste, customized shaping tools, controlled fritting and optional enamelling to achieve specific porosity and finish. Production runs used electric kilns and allowed decoration, packaging and perfuming in-house; the company also offers five catalogue scents and works with brands that supply their own concentrates.

For consumers and retailers, CeraScent provides a refillable, low-VOC alternative to sprays and candles and reduces perfume waste for in-store testers. Its artisan-made, locally produced pieces align with demand for traceable luxury and longer-lasting scent experiences.

Trend Themes

  1. Porous Scent-infused Ceramics — Materials science-driven ceramic pieces with engineered porosity enable multi-month scent retention that decouples fragrance delivery from volatile carriers.
  2. Long-lasting Passive Fragrance — Extended-release diffusers that provide continuous, low-VOC scent profiles for months present a shift away from short-lived sprays and candles toward slow-emission olfactory experiences.
  3. Sustainable Refillable Testing — Refillable, non-spray in-store testers and gifts reduce product waste and supply-chain emissions while maintaining authentic fragrance notes for consumer sampling.

Industry Implications

  1. Luxury Home Fragrance — Artisan-made ceramic diffusers offer premium brand differentiation through provenance, tactile design and prolonged scent performance.
  2. Perfume Retail and Sampling — Retailers and brands can reimagine sampling infrastructure with durable, low-VOC testers that extend consumer exposure and cut disposables.
  3. Ceramic Manufacturing and Craftsmanship — Advanced paste formulations, controlled fritting and kiln processes create opportunities for high-value, functional ceramics that merge technical performance with artisanal aesthetics.
