Trader Joe's Cauliflower Gnocchi is Made of 75% Cruciferous Vegetable

Traditional Italian dumplings, better known as gnocchi, are traditionally made with a combination of mashed potato, flour and egg, but Trader Joe's is introducing its new Cauliflower Gnocchi with a formula of cassava flour, potato starch, extra virgin olive oil and sea salt. As such, the formula is about 75% cauliflower and free from wheat, sugar, dairy and eggs. The Cauliflower Gnocchi is also lower in carbs, fat and calories than the classic potato-based versions.

The versatile Cauliflower Gnocchi can be prepared in a number of ways, such as on the stovetop or in the microwave for a softer texture.

From pizza crusts and vegetable tots to rice, a number of comfort classics are being reinvented across the food industry with a base of cauliflower as better-for-you, vegetable-powered and gluten-free alternatives.
