Morose Mood Lights

The Design for 'Cauldron' Lights Comes from Ancient Black Cooking Pots

The British design brand Mineheart has created an ominous yet sultry mood light called Cauldron. This dark mood light was designed to mimic ancient cooking pots that were used to cook and heat food with while sitting over an open flame.

The lamps only mimic the ancient cooking pots because in this reinvention, the lamps are hung from the ceiling and the opening of the Cauldron faces downward. However, there is one version of the Cauldron that is meant to be placed on a table. In this version, the opening of the pot faces the ceiling in a slightly angular way.

The entire lamp is black with a smooth finish. The light inside reveals a twisted glowing light bulb that illuminates a deep orange-yellow light.
