Gothic Church-Inspired Lingerie by Marlies Dekkers Is Paradoxical Chic

It’s not often that you see sexy lingerie created through divine inspiration, but, as Trend de la Creme points out, that’s exactly what fueled the Summer 2009 collection by Netherlands-based Marlies Dekkers. The fashion was inspired by Gothic cathedral arches, similar to what one might see in Wells Cathedral located in the United Kingdom. Fitting, considering the recent proliferation of nuns in fashion. (Is it just me, or does anyone else feel some of Madonna’s controversial "Like a Prayer" coming on?)
