In general, it takes longer for black cats to get adopted into new homes and this is especially true around the Halloween season, as cats of this color are often associated with superstitions. Based off of its "This is Dare" slogan, Dare created the 'This is Scare' app and took inspiration from the way Tinder lets users swipe left or right to discover profiles. When users swipe on the black cat named Scare, they have the chance to participate in a chat with a "cat-bot."
