"The Simpsons" Stamps

USPS Releases Set of Sticky Cartoon Collectibles

In an effort to get young people interested in stamp collecting, the U.S. Postal Service is launching a collection of "The Simpsons" postage stamps on the 7th of May.

The first-class stamps, worth 44 cents each, are particularly special given that "The Simpsons" is the only television show to be featured as the sole subject of a stamp set while still in prime-time production.

Creator and executive producer of "The Simpsons" Matt Groening described the stamps as "the biggest and most adhesive honor The Simpsons has ever received."
