This new Carlsberg beer ad is a clever and somewhat sadistic prank that questions how far a friend will go for another.
The setup is as simple as it is funny, especially because it wasn't happening to me. The Carlsberg beer ad begins with someone sitting around a poker table with what look like Asian mobsters. The pranksters call up their friends between 1:00 am and 5:00 am, telling them that they've lost a lot of money to the mobsters, and they can't leave until they pay. The groggy and probably rather upset friends soon become terrified as they have to navigate a sketchy maze in the warehouse.
On the way to the poker room, the prankees must walk by a bare knuckle fist fight, a woman screaming in a foreign language, a flower salesman in the elevator and a towering stir fry inferno. Once they get to the poker room and put their money on the table, the prankees are let off the hook and everyone enjoys a Carlsberg with a toast to friendship.
