HyperPort Proposes High-Speed & Low-Emissions Port Logistics

Hyperloop Transport Technologies, which focuses on commercial transportation solutions based on Elon Musk's Hyperloop concept, has introduced a revolutionary cargo concept that is designed to be capable of handling complex port logistics at high speed without compromising on care for the environment.

The HyperloopTT system would make use of magnetic levitation rails and vacuum-sealed tubes that would enable cargo capsules to be zipped from place to place at spectacular speeds. The system is being developed as part of a collaboration with German logistics company Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG.

This particular cargo concept also proposes cargo capsules that would open at the top and would be able to secure around 40 feet of shipping container length. The cargo would then be transported at speeds of up to 965 km/h.

Capable of transporting over 2,500 shipping containers a day whilst covering vast distances in minutes with minimal carbon emissions, the HyperloopTT cargo concept offers a glimpse at the future of eco-friendly port logistics.
