Custom Homemade iPads

The Carbon Tablet from Justin Campana is a Functioning Windows Tablet

The Carbon Tablet is an amazing piece of DIY work from Justin Campana. He designed and built his own touchscreen tablet that runs on Windows 7. Epic.

The Carbon Tablet has a 15" touchscreen and can play videos at a 16:9 aspect ratio, compared to the iPad's 4:3. The Carbon Tablet is one man’s custom Windows tablet, not necessarily a commercial rival, but you still have to wonder if Bill Gates and co. are paying attention to this. This Windows tablet cost $652 and some spare time for an amateur to make. Microsoft has the money and the manpower to make this happen.
