As far as futuristic lounges go, I think it is safe to say that Carbon Bar is one of the most sci-fi-looking spaces out there. Part of Park Hotel’s latest property in Hyderabad, the Carbon Bar was inspired by Nizam of Hyderabad’s jewels.
Designed by Khosla Associates, the Carbon Bar features a highly faceted interior that boldly references a black diamond. As though sunlight is shining upon this giant jewel, rainbow light prisms are refracted throughout the space. These slivers of dimmable LED lights are pre-programmable, giving them the ability to change color and therefore altering the mood of the space. Aside from the dramatic design, the Carbon Bar is relatively minimalist. Everything lends to the idea of being inside the heart of a diamond.
